"The ceremony of innocence is drowned..."

Opera Moderne presents Benjamin Britten's haunting chamber opera The Turn of the Screw, combining experimental performance and sculpture-installation with the world of opera. Based on the novella by Henry James, this 20th century masterpiece is a terrifying tale of the supernatural which has mystified and enthralled readers for half a century. The work offers some of Britten's greatest music with a libretto by Myfanwy Piper.
